The Pharmacy Procurement Leadership Council (PPLC) brings together pharmacy procurement leaders, residents, and academic representatives from across the country to advance the profession through shared knowledge and original research.

To bring together pharmacy procurement leaders to share knowledge, advance best practices, and shape the future of pharmacy procurement through collaboration, research, and innovation.
Our Members
Membership is by invitation and includes leaders from health systems alongside residents and an academic representative. This mix brings different experiences and perspectives to the Council’s work.

- Regulatory & Compliance: Addressing requirements and challenges affecting pharmacy procurement.
- Data, Automation & Technology: Exploring how analytics and technology can improve procurement practices.
- Procurement Models & Consolidated Services: Sharing approaches to organizing and strengthening procurement operations.
Our Work
Through regular discussions and annual gatherings, members identify research priorities, develop Council Insights publications, and contribute to an annual whitepaper. The Council also supports emerging leaders through research awards and recognizes contributions to the profession through the Gold Shovel Award.
